Brian White, Camp Director, has been as
Twinlow since 2005. He started his career in camp & retreat
ministry at Camp Magruder on the Oregon Coast, beginning in 1991. He
started out as a summer lifeguard, then as full-time Program Director, and
now as camp director. Brian grew up in northeast Oregon, attending
Wallowa Lake UM Camp, Camp Magruder, and Suttle Lake UMC Camp, all in
Oregon.
Brian graduated from Whitman College in 1994 with a degree in Biochemistry. Several years later, he received a Master's Degree from Portland State in Teaching Science, with an emphasis in Environmental Education. He also completed seminary coursework through Drew University in Camp & Retreat Ministry Certification. Brian loves living and working at Twinlow Camp, where he is able to blend his career and his faith into one. Brian enjoys spending his time with his two daughters and his wife Wendy. He is actively involved with Community UMC in Coeur d'Alene and loves playing for the church softball team. He loves being out on the water, visiting family and friends, and tubing down the Twinlow hills in the winter. |
