Circuit Rider Society

The Circuit Rider Society is a joint effort of the four camps in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the UMC (Twinlow being one of them) and the Camping and Retreat Ministry office to work together to raise gifts for our camps. When you give to the Circuit Rider Society, you can designate your gift to Twinlow, to the camp of your choice, or to the Camping and Retreat Ministry office to decide where to use as needed.

Gifts of $300 or more will automatically enroll donors in the Circuit Riders Society, our community of ongoing supporting members of camping ministries in the PNW Conference.  Circuit Riders are a very important part of our ongoing funding of camping, committing to ongoing regular financial support.  Many don't realize that the fees do not cover all the costs of providing our camps.  The Circuit Riders provide the backbone of support for our camp ministries and help narrow the gap between the actual costs of having our camps and the fees charged youth campers and retreat guests.  Please consider an ongoing commitment to our camps as a member of the Circuit Rider Society today!

Why is camp important?

A camp experience can be one of the most powerful and formative times in one's life.  Camp can often be the first opportunity for kids to develop their "unique voice" that will serve them throughout their lives.  Discovering leadership potential, experiencing an intentional Christian community, discovering the outdoors, building self esteem, and strengthening personal faith is all central to what the camp experience is all about. Plus, it's just plain fun!
