Finding God in the Everyday:

Summer Staff 2012

Summer Staff at Twinlow Camp can be one of the most crazy, exciting, adventurous, hard-working, and rewarding summers of your life. The choice to join Summer Staff 2012 should not be taken lightly, as this could be a summer that changes you forever. We are looking for college-age people to be a part of our community who are willing to:

  • Share their faith with campers, families, and other staff
  • Work hard and play hard
  • Gain valuable experience, strong friendships, and a deepened relationship with Jesus Christ

Summers at Twinlow are filled with a variety of experiences. We run camps for all ages and serve many different groups. Our property is located on the lower of the Twin Lakes just north of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Campers and staff all stay in the rustic summer cabins with community showerhouses. On site there is a craft cabin, volleyball court, basketball court, large grass field, horseshoes, tetherball, challenge course, and hiking trails. The waterfront hosts many activities including water skiing, wake boarding, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, row boating, a water trampoline, water slide, party barge, and even sailing.

Summer staff run all the programs and serve guest groups during summers at Twinlow. Each week of camp, summer staff are assigned to different positions depending on what’s happening that week. For on-site programs, summer staff may be assigned to be a lifeguard, head counselor, kitchen, or program assistant. Most weeks, summer staff will stay in cabins with campers as additional counselors at night. Days start with a short chapel service called Morning Watch and end at night with an all-camp campfire. Everyday campers are led by staff through teambuilding, games, worship, swimming, and Bible studies. Almost every week of summer, Twinlow runs an off-site program called Day Camp at churches all around the Pacific Northwest. Depending on the size of each Day Camp, four summer staff will pack up what we call ‘camp in a van’ and head out to a church for a week to run a camp just for them.
