Lifeguard Camp Dates:
Grades: for
ages 15 and up Dean: Brian White Cost: $315/365/415 (includes training materials & certification fees) (About our camp fees) Campers will participate in the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training program. Individuals that successfully complete the training will become certified lifeguards. Lifeguard Training includes lecture, video demonstrations, written exercises, water-based skills, land-based skills, and written exams. Each candidate must be competent in water & land skills, pass all the exams, and pass the final skills scenarios. Campers at Lifeguard Camp will also learn how to perform watercraft rescues using a canoe, kayak, and rowboat. Although training is our main focus, there is always time to relax and be a camper. You can expect free time on the water highlighted by waterskiing, wakeboarding, and tubing. Each day we will have morning devotion, small group discussions, evening games and challenges, crafts, and campfire. So come on over to Lifeguard Camp -- you will learn a skill to last a lifetime while growing your Christian faith. **The $50 lifeguard training fee (included in rate) will be refunded to certified lifeguards who work at a PWN-UMC summer camp for 4 weeks or more.
