If this
sounds like a great way to spend your summer, then I would like to invite
you to consider joining us at Twinlow this coming summer for an incredible
experience of ministry and service. Twinlow hires between 12-15 staff to serve our summer
camp program. Staff serve at
the waterfront, in the cabins, leading children, in the kitchen, and
around the grounds. Each staff
person can expect a variety of roles and leadership opportunities during
the summer. Our active
Watersports Camps, Day Camps, traditional camps, and Mission Work Camps
(PNCC) provide unique opportunities to serve. All staff receive a thorough orientation to camp and
their responsibilities. This
includes staff team building, job training, and sharing your faith in
preparation for an engaging, fun, and community atmosphere.
We carefully and thoroughly screen each applicant.
Hiring decisions are made following interviews, background checks,
and qualifications compared to other applicants.
Dates of employment are June 14-August 23, 2008. Working at camp during the summer is hard work, but
worth your effort. You will
gain ministry experience, job skills, strong friendships, and a deepened
relationship with Jesus Christ. If

Form Waterfront
Staff Waterfront Director (1)
Plan and implement waterfront program including
canoeing, rowing, kayaking, swimming, and Watersports. Monitor
general safety of participants in and on the water. Oversee and
supervise waterfront staff and lead in-service training and skill review.
Oversee waterfront facilities and maintain equipment. Able to drive
a motorized boat and tow riders. At least 6 months or previous
lifeguard experience and current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (or
equivalent). Assist with other camp activities as needed.
Minimum age 21. $270 per week. Lifeguard (3)
Implement waterfront program including canoeing,
rowing, kayaking, swimming, and Watersports. Monitor general safety
of participants in and on the water. Help maintain waterfront
facilities and equipment. Current American Red Cross Lifeguard
Training (or equivalent) or ability to obtain certification. Assist
with other camp activities as needed. Minimum age 16. $240 per
week. Food
Service Staff Summer Cook (2)
Serve nutritious meals according to menus developed by
the Food Service Director. Assign tasks for Prep Cooks and
Dishwashers. Maintain proper techniques for sanitization and
cleanliness. Able to serve as the supervisor when the Food Service
Director is away. Must possess previous experience working in a food
establishment. Current ID State Food Handling Permit or willingness
to obtain one. Minimum age 18. $400 per week. Kitchen Assistant / Prep Cook
(3) Help with overall kitchen
operations. Maintain proper
techniques for sanitization and cleanliness.
Assist cooks in meal preparations, serving food, and washing
dishes. Current ID State Food
Handling Permit or willingness to obtain one.
Minimum age 16. $210
per week. Program
Staff Day Camp Director (1) Work with and assist Director to plan and develop Day Camp programs and schedules prior to summer. Oversee all aspects and details of the Day Camp program. Recruit and supervise Day Camp staff and volunteers. Must possess skills in organizing and implementing programs with children. Previous experience working at a summer camp or day camp program preferred. Minimum age 21. Position filled. Day Camp Staff (2)
Work with and assist Day Camp Director to implement Day
Camp programs and in preparing activities and supplies. Be
responsible for and work with a small group of children. Be alert to
individual camper needs. Be a positive role model for campers and
encourage positive interactions among campers. Previous experience
as a summer camp leader, small group leader, or LIT (Leader-in-Training)
preferred. Minimum age 16. $210 per week. Program Resource (4) Work with
volunteer deans and age level programs in implementing weekly activities.
Assist or lead camp programs and activities and help coordinate
special events as needed. Cabin
leadership as needed. Help
implement and lead the Mission Camp (PNCC) program for 2 weeks.
Design and lead summer craft program.
Lead or assist with any of the following camper activities:
Previous experience as a summer camp leader, small group leader, or LIT (Leader-in-Training) preferred. Minimum age 18. $210 per week. Maintenance/Housekeeping
(1) Help maintain grounds by
watering, mowing, trimming, sweeping, and weeding.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor as needed with basic repairs.
Responsible for garbage collection, cleaning and organizing
facilities daily and between guest groups.
Wash, dry, fold and store laundry as needed.
Experience with basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills, and
housekeeping OR willingness to learn.
Minimum age 16. $180
per week. General Information for Applicants Our mission is

the development of disciples and spiritual leaders. Campers enjoy our active Watersports
program with swimming, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, row boats,
canoes, kayaks, and sailing. Twinlow
also features a low ropes challenge course, crafts, basketball,
volleyball, field games, and much more.
Learning about forest ecology, stewardship of creation, and the
diverse plant and wildlife communities are parts of the program at Twinlow
as we build a human community of fun and friendship. Qualifications Must be willing to be certified in First
Aid and CPR, believe in the values of camping and the Christian faith, and
be willing to uphold Twinlow Camp’s goals, policies, and standards.
Employment is subject to criminal history check, reference and
background checks, and verification of eligibility to work in the U.S. Salaries & Benefits Salaries
are listed with each position and cover the full 10 week season beginning
June 14 and ending August 23, including pre-camp orientation.
Former staff who return receive an additional $10 per week for each
previous summer employed at Twinlow Camp.
Other benefits include room & board, worker’s compensation
insurance, at least one day off each week, and some time off each day.
